SoulArt Gallery Hosts Michigan Residential Architects with the release of MIRA12 magazine

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming event at SoulArt Gallery this May, and we are especially excited to welcome guests for our first event of the season this year. We will once again host the Michigan Residential Architects (MIRA) group for an exclusive evening marking the release of the latest edition of MIRA 12 Magazine.

This invitation-only event brings together fine art enthusiasts and members of the architecture community who are part of the MIRA group in Michigan. Members may bring up to two guests, and SoulArt collectors are warmly invited to attend.

This event celebrates the continued partnership between SoulArt Gallery and MIRA, as we proudly host this distinguished gathering for the second time. We look forward to welcoming guests for an inspiring evening of exceptional artwork, engaging conversation, and thoughtfully curated refreshments—an atmosphere of elegance, creativity, and connection.

Highlights of Featured Artists

Ryan T. Schmidt: American stainless steel sculptor, gallery owner, and curator known for large-scale monumental works that integrate with architecture, reflecting light, space, and surrounding environments. His Type-316L steel sculptures are widely commissioned and often created in collaboration with architects to enhance contemporary spaces.

Mark Lewanski: ArtPrize-winning glass artist recognized for innovative, handcrafted woven glass works—intricate surfaces that bring movement, depth, and dimensionality to contemporary design.

Jeff Waddle: A multidisciplinary artist whose metalwork and paintings merge into a surreal, larger-than-life visual world—blending personal history, global influences, and imaginative cosmic narratives.

JeanFo: The late French sculptor and mentor to Ryan T. Schmidt, JeanFo (Jean A. Faure) is known for painted metal sculptures that transform steel into fluid, organic forms echoing natural life, with rare final works from his collection now presented.

Together, their work enhances the experience, offering a compelling exploration of how art and architecture intersect.

About the Event

Join us for an exclusive evening of meaningful connections, collaboration, and conversation with industry leaders in a vibrant cultural setting in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are honored to host the Michigan Residential Architects (MIRA) for the second time, alongside our collectors and supporters, and in continued partnership with Bridgewater Place.

This event is exclusive to MIRA members and invited guests.

Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and a curated art reception. Parking is available inside the building, with access via Bridge Street NW and Scribner Avenue NW. Guest parking is located on Level C.
